In 2006 I was invited to participate in Festival Film Jacmel in Haiti. The third and final festival of film in the country over 300,000 people attended the film screenings and concerts. Wyclef Jean from the Fugees along with his foundation Yele promoted a free concert on the beach for the final evening.
My involvement in the production management of the festival led to ongoing conversations and advice on the future of the festival that would become the first film institute in Haiti, Cine Institute, training young Haitians in the art of film.
It was am important project for me during that period and I am grateful for the opportunity.
